Ad server for gaming sites
Studios buy attention around launch windows. If buying a placement on your site takes two weeks of email, the launch is over before the deal closes.
What Pyrobid does here
Your portal lets a studio, a hardware brand or a tournament organiser buy your placements without a two-week email thread. They register, fund an account, pick slots and dates and upload creative for you to approve, so a launch campaign can go live the day it is booked, as soon as you say yes.
Why this is harder than it should be
The same product, a different obstacle. This is what stands between your advertisers and your inventory.
Campaigns are launch-shaped and time-critical
A game launch window is days, not quarters. A buying process measured in weeks means the money goes somewhere faster, every time.
Your audience is exactly what advertisers overpay for elsewhere
Engaged gaming audiences are expensive to reach on the large platforms. You have one already, and are likely monetising it at display rates.
Sponsorships are negotiated one at a time
Every deal is bespoke, which caps how many you can run. Standing placements with published floor prices lift that ceiling without adding work.
What the big platforms restrict around gaming
Young readers. Google does not personalise ads for signed-in users it knows are under 18, and blocks some categories for them, including games strongly associated with casinos and betting even when no money is at stake. Meta lets advertisers use only age and location to reach teens. In the EU, online platforms may not show minors ads based on profiling at all.
So a brand that wants to reach young gamers cannot pick them out by interest on the big platforms. A placement on a site about the game is contextual: it reaches the game's audience without profiling anyone.
Skins and loot. Google treats games played with virtual items that have real-world value as online gambling, which needs certification, and Meta sends games whose items can be traded for money to its gambling policy. If many of your readers are under 18, decline skin betting and skin trading advertisers outright.
Who buys placements on sites like yours
Game studios and publishers, peripheral and hardware brands, energy drink and snack brands, tournament organisers, betting and fantasy platforms, and creator tools.
What sells on sites like yours
Package your space around how these advertisers already buy.
Launch windows
Studios spend in the days around a release. Book the week, schedule it to the hour, and let the campaign run when the launch does.
Big formats for big releases
A 970x250 billboard or a 300x600 half page at the top of a news or review page gives a launch the size it wants, and a sticky banner keeps it in view on phones.
Tournaments and seasons
Esports runs on a calendar. An event's sponsors buy the pages and dates around it, and a flat booking for the event is easy to sell.

Both of those are the real product. The demo is open if you would rather click through it than look at a picture of it.
How to set it up
- Scheduling by date and hour, in the advertiser's own time zone, for launches and match times.
- Device targeting, so a mobile game advertises on phones and a PC peripheral on desktops.
- Placement categories and approval, so gambling-style advertisers never reach a slot you have not opened to them.
- A frequency cap, so a heavy launch campaign does not show the same reader the same trailer all day.
Our traffic spikes hard around launches. Does that break anything?
No. The impression allowances are soft: go past yours and we keep serving, and there is no metered overage bill. Nothing enforces the cap. If you are over it every month we will have a conversation about moving you up, which is a different thing from your ads stopping mid launch.
Common questions
Can I keep gambling ads off my site?
Yes. Nothing runs without your approval, and placements carry allowed categories, so an advertiser outside them never competes for the slot.
Many of my readers are under 18. Can I still sell ads?
Yes, with care. Sell by the page rather than by the person, keep approval on, and decline categories that should not reach young readers, such as gambling and skin trading.
