Pyrobid versus Raptive

Sell ads now, not at 25,000 pageviews

Raptive takes sites from 25,000 pageviews a month, with a domain at least six months old and, below 100,000 pageviews, half the traffic from five countries. Pyrobid has none of those rules. Businesses book your space directly, at your price, and pay you before the ad runs, from your first month.

Our minimum pageview requirement is 25,000 pageviews a month.
That is their wording, on Raptive's eligibility page, checked 7 October 2026. It also asks for a domain at least six months old and, under 100,000 pageviews, half your traffic from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand or Australia. A new site, or one whose readers live somewhere else, waits. On Pyrobid it can sell the day it is set up.

What Raptive does

Raptive manages the ads on a publisher's site. Its code goes on the site, its team controls where the ads go using HTML and CSS selectors, and the publisher is paid 75% of the ad revenue.

Payments go out on the 15th of each month on Net 45, so the first one arrives 45 days after the end of your first month. Cancelling takes 30 days' notice under its service agreement.

What Pyrobid does

Pyrobid sells your space to businesses directly, from your first reader. A business signs up on your advertise page, adds funds, builds its campaign and bids at or above the floor price you set. You approve the artwork and it runs.

You decide where every slot goes and what it costs. The money goes to your own Stripe account when the advertiser tops up, before any ad runs, and Pyrobid takes no share of it.

The fee is $29.99 a month, month to month. Your newsletter sells on the same page.

What a door policy means for a new site

Raptive is built for traffic you already have. Pyrobid sells the readers you have now.

A new domain is welcome

No minimum domain age, no pageview count, no application and no queue. Your advertise page works from the day you set it up.

Readers anywhere

No rule about where your readers live. A local audience, a non-English one or a global niche can sell, to the businesses that want to reach it.

You place every ad

You choose where each slot goes, its size and its floor price, and you approve every ad before it runs. Nothing serves on your site that you have not seen.

Where Pyrobid fits

The direct side of your ad business, from day one.

Your price, and all of it

You set a floor on every slot and a price on every send. Advertisers pay at or above it, into your own Stripe account, and Pyrobid takes no share.

Your newsletter on the same page

Sponsors book a send, upload their banner and pay. The snippet goes into any email tool. How it works.

Your advertisers stay yours

They have accounts on your platform, under your name, and they come back to you when they want to run again.

A network underneath, if you want one

Put the ad code you run today in a slot's fallback and it fills the views nobody has booked, apart from one in ten that shows your Advertise Here card by default. You can switch that off.

Numbers your advertisers can see

Each advertiser gets a live dashboard: impressions, clicks, CTR, spend and conversions, so they see what they paid for without asking you.

Month to month

$29.99 a month to a million impressions, $99.99 to five million with your own domain. Cancel any time, with no notice period.

What your advertisers see

Your brand, on your own domain. They sign up, fund an account and build a campaign in five steps. You approve the artwork before anything runs.

Common questions

My site is under 25,000 pageviews. Is Pyrobid a replacement?

It is a different kind of income. Raptive fills your pages with ads from its demand once your site qualifies. Pyrobid lets businesses book your space directly at any size, starting today, at the price you set.

What does Raptive take?

Raptive pays publishers 75% of ad revenue, so it keeps 25%. Pyrobid is $29.99 a month and takes no share of what your advertisers pay you.

Can I run both on one site?

Pyrobid asks for no exclusivity. Whether another ad company allows other ad code beside its own is set in its own agreement, so read Raptive's service agreement for that site before you add anything.

Do my readers need to be in the US?

No. Pyrobid has no rule about where your readers live. Each advertiser chooses the countries they want, and every country is priced as a share of your floor, so a local business can buy exactly the readers it needs.

Where do advertisers come from?

From your site and your field: the advertise link in your menu or footer, the Advertise Here card in slots nobody has booked, and the businesses you already know, who now have somewhere to book. Pyrobid does not supply advertisers or promise what you will earn. Our guide to getting advertisers on board covers who to ask first.

Does Pyrobid sell my newsletter too?

Yes. Each send can carry one sponsor at your price, booked and paid on the same advertise page as your site's slots, with a snippet for Mailchimp, Kit, beehiiv or any other email tool. How newsletter sponsorships work.
