Sell your ad space without waiting to qualify
Mediavine runs the ads on sites that already earn: $5,000 of ad revenue a year to join, or 1,000 premium sessions a month for its Journey programme. Pyrobid has no minimum. Businesses book your space directly, at your price, and pay you before the ad runs, from your first month.
However, this does mean that you can no longer run a direct-sold ad without it running through Mediavine. That is their wording, on the Mediavine Direct help page, checked 7 October 2026. On a Mediavine site, a business that wants to sponsor you books through Mediavine Direct, at a price Mediavine sets from your site's performance, and you are paid your revenue share on Net 65. On Pyrobid you set the price, the advertiser pays you before the ad runs, and nobody takes a share.
What Mediavine does
Mediavine manages the ads on a publisher's site. Once a site qualifies, it runs the programmatic ads on it and pays the publisher a share of the revenue: 75% for sites launched from 2026 that earn under $100,000 a year. Journey by Mediavine is its entry programme, from 1,000 premium sessions in 30 days, at 70%.
It asks for full control of a site's programmatic advertising, and direct-sold ads on the site run through Mediavine Direct. Revenue is paid 65 days after the end of each month.
What Pyrobid does
Pyrobid sells your space to businesses directly, from your first reader. A business signs up on your advertise page, adds funds, builds its campaign and bids at or above the floor price you set. You approve the artwork and it runs.
The money goes to your own Stripe account when the advertiser tops up, before any ad runs, and Pyrobid takes no share of it. The fee is $29.99 a month.
Your newsletter sells on the same page, and the ad code you run today, such as AdSense, can fill the views nobody has booked.
What a revenue minimum means for a new site
Mediavine is built for traffic you already have. Pyrobid sells the readers you have now.
Start this month
No revenue minimum, no sessions count, no application and no queue. A local shop, a tool you write about or a fellow creator can book your space the day you set it up.
Your price, and all of it
You set a floor on every slot and a price on every send. Advertisers pay at or above it, into your own Stripe account, and Pyrobid takes no share.
Your advertisers stay yours
They have accounts on your platform, under your name, and they come back to you when they want to run again. Nobody else sets their price.
Where Pyrobid fits
The direct side of your ad business, from day one.
No door policy
No minimum, no review of your site, and no rule about which platform it is built on or where your readers live. A few thousand readers in a tight niche is a real audience to the right advertiser.
Your newsletter on the same page
Sponsors book a send, upload their banner and pay. The snippet goes into any email tool. How it works.
Your rates, your rules
You set the floor on every slot and approve every ad before it runs. Nothing serves on your site that you have not seen.
A network underneath, if you want one
Put the ad code you run today in a slot's fallback and it fills the views nobody has booked, apart from one in ten that shows your Advertise Here card by default. You can switch that off.
Numbers your advertisers can see
Each advertiser gets a live dashboard: impressions, clicks, CTR, spend and conversions, so they see what they paid for without asking you.
One price, month to month
$29.99 a month to a million impressions, $99.99 to five million with your own domain. Cancel any time.
What your advertisers see
Your brand, on your own domain. They sign up, fund an account and build a campaign in five steps. You approve the artwork before anything runs.

Common questions
Can I run Pyrobid and Mediavine on the same site?
Not for ads on the site, by Mediavine's own rules. Its help centre says "you can no longer run a direct-sold ad without it running through Mediavine", and it asks for full control of the site's programmatic advertising. So on any one site it is one or the other. Pyrobid asks for nothing like that: AdSense or another network you choose can stay underneath for whatever you have not sold.
My site is too small for Mediavine. Is Pyrobid a replacement?
It is a different kind of income. Mediavine fills your pages with programmatic ads once your site qualifies. Pyrobid lets businesses book your space directly at any size, starting today, at the price you set.
What does Mediavine take?
For sites launched from 2026, publishers earning under $100,000 a year get 75%, so Mediavine keeps 25%. Journey pays 70%. Pyrobid is $29.99 a month and takes no share of what your advertisers pay you.
Do I need 1,000 sessions a month to use Pyrobid?
No. There is no traffic or revenue minimum, no application and no review of your site. Whether a business wants your readers is between you and them.
Where do advertisers come from?
From your site and your field: the advertise link in your menu or footer, the Advertise Here card in slots nobody has booked, and the businesses you already know, who now have somewhere to book. Pyrobid does not supply advertisers or promise what you will earn. Our guide to getting advertisers on board covers who to ask first.
Does Pyrobid sell my newsletter too?
Yes. Each send can carry one sponsor at your price, booked and paid on the same advertise page as your site's slots, with a snippet for Mailchimp, Kit, beehiiv or any other email tool. How newsletter sponsorships work.
