Selling and process

White label

Definition

Software sold to be rebranded and run as though it were your own product.

Why it matters if you sell your own ads

For a publisher this means your advertisers register on your portal, see your logo and your name, and never learn which vendor built it. The relationship stays yours.

Who uses white-label ad tech

Two groups. Agencies and networks use it to run campaigns for clients under their own name. Publishers use it to sell their own space: the advertiser deals with the site they chose rather than with a software company they have never heard of, and the relationship stays with the publisher.

What gets branded

  • The logo, colours and browser icon.
  • The web address the portal lives on.
  • The login page.
  • The emails advertisers receive.
  • The terms, privacy policy and support address.

The test is simple: sign up as an advertiser and note every place the vendor's name appears. Each one is a question an advertiser may ask you.

What to check before you buy

  • Who owns the advertiser relationship. Some platforms market their own demand to your buyers or keep their contact details. Yours should stay yours.
  • How it is priced. A share of ad spend grows as you succeed. A flat monthly fee does not.
  • Your own domain. Whether the portal can run on an address you own, and on which plan.
  • Where the money goes. Whose account advertiser payments reach, and what happens if a payment processor will not serve your industry.

How Pyrobid does it

Your portal carries your logo, colours, browser icon, login picture and email letterhead, and publishes your own terms, privacy policy and support address. It runs at yourname.pyrobid.com on every plan, and on Pro at an address on your own domain, such as ads.yoursite.com. Advertisers register with you, pay you and read their reports under your name. The price is a flat monthly fee with no share of anything you sell.

Common questions

Is white label the same as reselling?

Not quite. A reseller sells the vendor's branded product. White label means the product carries your brand instead.

Will my advertisers see the Pyrobid name?

They see your brand throughout the portal, the emails and the legal pages. On Starter the portal address ends in pyrobid.com; on Pro it can be your own domain.

What does a white-label ad server cost?

Anything from free self-hosted software you run yourself to platforms that take a share of every dollar spent. Pyrobid is $29.99 a month on Starter and $99.99 on Pro, with no revenue share.

Put a floor price on your own inventory
